For those who don’t know yet, well yes, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are fighting a huge legal battle. But why exactly? What’s the actual matter here? As you may already know, they are a famous actress and actor on the television show Jane The Virgin. While the shooting of It Ends With Us (2023) when Blake was acting as the lead, Justin was directing and also acting in this movie. Sure enough, as we know by now, what started out as a normal project turned out to be a huge disaster where both of them accused each other of some serious things.
Blake says Justin gave her a hard time at work by crossing the line and then trying to ruin her reputation. Justin, though, states that Blake had a bad attitude, made unreasonable demands, and caused chaos on set. Blake’s Side: “I Felt Unsafe”
Blake’s side is about feeling unsafe. Like, she says Justin misbehaved whilst they were working. You know, she claims that he breached her personal space, even when she was breastfeeding her child, which made her extremely uncomfortable. Not just that though, Blake claims the producer also did nothing to help her feel safe while filming, particularly with very private and sensitive scenes.
That’s all? Nah!! Blake claims Justin is out to get her after she calls him out on his actions. She says he collaborated with PR people to make it seem like it was her problem through false comments. So yes, in late 2024, Blake had enough and sued. She says Justin was being harassed and punished her for speaking up. She says she is not just fighting for herself but is also fighting for other people in Hollywood who suffered too.
Justin’s Side: “It’s Not Me, It’s Her”
Really? Like, Justin’s saying “I’m Not the Problem, She’s the Problem”? Yes, according to him, Blake is saying things that are not true. In fact, he says she was the cause of all the fuss. Blake was calling all of the creative shots despite the fact that Justin was the director, he claimed. Like, he says that she tried to make her own version of the film. He claims she also threatened not to support the movie unless her changes were made.
Not only is Justin fighting Blake’s suit, but he is also suing The New York Times. Sure enough, the newspaper tweeted nasty things about him, and the facts regarding the unpleasant stories were twisted. Justin insists that he is the true victim, claiming Blake and her crew held him aside during the movie’s release and then used the media against him.
Ryan Reynolds Gets Involved
Blake’s hubby Ryan Reynolds spoke up too. Justin says Ryan came to him on set saying he’s heard Justin say something about Blake’s weight. Justin claims it was just a miscommunication, but Ryan did not care and reportedly yelled at him in front of others.
